LEADING OFF: Rookies Morel, Hall Look to Extend Homer Run

Fledglings freshman Christopher Morel has homered in three straight games

and hopes to keep up the run when he faces Boston at Wrigley Field.

The 23-year-old Morel associated Friday night for a two-run

drive as Chicago revitalized past the Red Sox.

Morel got five hits, including a homer, on Thursday in a frolic over Cincinnati.

He likewise homered Wednesday and made

a fabulous toss from focus field to nail a sprinter at the plate.

Against Boston, he began at a respectable halfway point.

Also, taking everything into account, that is okay.

"That is the reason I work on it each and every day. Each position," Morel said.

"Anyplace they need me, that I'm there for, the group.

Any place they need me, I'll be there."

Red Sox freshman Josh Winckowski (3-1, 3.60 ERA) hopes to win his fourth

consecutive beginning since being reviewed from Triple-An on June 15.

Alec Mills (0-1, 9.87) pitches for Chicago.
